Mr. Eiden is currently the president of Firebow Strategies, a financial and technical consulting firm which specializes in acquisition and investment evaluation of oil and gas businesses and assets. His past clients have included private equity firms, upstream and midstream firms, service companies, and financial advising firms. He has evaluated over $9.5B in oil and gas investments, and has been responsible for over $2B in deployed capital; his completion designs and drilling techniques have been featured in the Wall Street Journal.
Mr. Eiden has helped clients not only value specific assets and firms, but also evaluate post-bankruptcy firms for takeover, oil and gas IPO investment strategies (long/short), corporate restructurings (both splits and takeovers), basin entrance strategies, joint ventures between E&P firms and service companies, and has provided commentary regarding operatorship in different legal regimes for celestial resource extraction, including commentary on the foreign policy implications for the United States. He has also taught financial and technical courses to oil and gas professionals.
Prior to founding Firebow, Mr. Eiden held positions in multiple leading E&P’s, including EOG Resources, Anadarko Petroleum, and British Petroleum. He is a licensed professional engineer and a past director of the Advisory Board for Augustine Classical Academy in Denver, Colorado. Tug holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Montana Tech and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
